Monitoring agricultural lands with the application of land remote detection systems

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to investigate specificity of agricultural land monitoring using remote sensing systems. Research methods. Theoretical and methodical basis of the study was the dialectical method of cognition of economic processes, fundamental provisions of modern economic theory, scientific works of domestic and foreign scientists on the monitoring of agricultural land using remote sensing systems and the use of GIS technologies. Methodological basis of the research was scientific methods of cognition based on the systematic approach. A number of general and specific research methods were used to achieve this goal, in particular: system analysis; abstract-logical; method of analogies. Research results. It is justified that digital technologies have made it possible to aggregate a large amount of data in a single system and have made it accessible to a large number of people. The times when information was a monopoly are a thing of the past. In recent decades, the latest technologies in Ukraine have significantly shifted from private to public, which has made it possible to increase efficiency of economic activity and control production processes. These trends are especially relevant for the agricultural sector and the development of land relations. Current state of implementation of remote sensing technologies for land monitoring for agricultural land was considered at an enterprise and state level. Elements of scientific novelty. For the first time possibilities of introduction of modern space technologies and remote sensing of the Earth for monitoring of agricultural lands were analysed. It was proved that the use of space monitoring technologies allows to estimate an area of crops with high accuracy, to monitor conditions of plants at all phases of growth, to predict harvest in the early stages, to control agro-operations, etc. Practical significance. Perspective sectors of land use where modern space technologies must be applied were outlined, namely: filling of the State Land Cadastre, inventory of lands, digitization of available data, creation of databases on land resources at an enterprise level. Practical recommendations for the use of space technology and remote land zoning for agricultural monitoring were offered. Tabl.: 2. Figs.: 2. Refs.: 24
