Experience of Germany in development of energy cooperatives: perspectives for Ukraine

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to study and characterize the development of Germany's energy cooperatives, which produce en- ergy from environmentally friendly and renewable sources, and adapt this experience to the realities of Ukraine. Research methods. In the research process have been used the following scientific methods: dialectical method for the analysis of legislative and normative acts and scientific works of scientists on the development of energy cooperatives, which produce ener- gy from renewable and environmentally friendly sources in Germany; methods of empirical research for the evaluation and descrip- tion of the current state and development of the research object; methods of theoretical research for the analysis, classification and generalization of information on the work of cooperatives and their types. Research results. The theoretical and methodological and historical foundations have been highlighted, and the specifics of the development of cooperatives in Germany in general and energy cooperatives in particular have been determined. Statistical analysis of the development of energy cooperatives according to their types, quantity, different energy sources and volumes of production has been carried out. According to the Sustainable Development Strategy of Ukraine, it is necessary to introduce technologies and imple- ment projects using alternative energy sources. The best option would be to create energy cooperatives on the model of Germany. Elements of scientific novelty. Theoretical provisions for determining the place and role of energy cooperatives in the German energy sector have been further developed, and prospects, criteria, elements of the mechanism for introduction of the model of Germany's energy cooperatives in the Ukrainian economy have been outlined. Practical significance. The main differences and specifics of the creation and functioning of energy cooperatives in Germany and Ukraine have been analyzed, which made it possible to identify the main models of energy cooperatives. The main problems of creation of energy cooperatives in Ukraine have been identified. Tabl.: 2. Figs.: 7. Refs.: 24
