The purpose of the article is to investigate prospective ways for financing catastrophic agricultural risks. Research methods. Critical analysis method was used to determine positive and negative sides of financing tools, as well as prospects of different methods of financing catastrophic agricultural risks. Data of Swiss Re Institute and Food and Agriculture Organization on catastrophic losses, including in agriculture were used to substantiate a necessity for finding prospective ways to finance catastrophic agricultural risks. Research results. Such a prospective way for financing catastrophic agricultural risks as crowdfunding has been proposed, which allows to cover some little catastrophic losses in agriculture by expenses of individuals. Charity crowdfunding with a reward is the most appropriate business model of crowdfunding for Ukraine on early stage of its development. In order to prevent the outflow of insurance payments abroad in case of external reinsurance of catastrophic agricultural risks, it is necessary to establish the state reinsurance company. Elements of scientific novelty. Scientific and theoretical principles of using crowdfunding business platforms to expand the capacity of Ukrainian insurance market to finance catastrophic agricultural risks were formed. Such transformations in the institutional and organizational infrastructure of the insurance market in conditions of underdevelopment of the national financial market will reduce the outflow of capital abroad because of reinsurance of these risks in the foreign insurance markets Practical importance. Implementation of the presented suggestions of prospective ways for financing catastrophic agricultural risks will increase a level of coverage of catastrophic losses by internal sources. Tabl.: 1.
