The purpose of the article is to substantiate main directions of the grape production development in Ukraine. Research methods. In the research process the following methods were used: the monographic method of cognition for evaluating development of the grape production in agricultural enterprises of Ukraine; synthesis and analysis for determining specific features and trends in the grape market; economic-mathematical modelling and forecasting for determining indicators of the grape production development in the future. Research results. There were substantiated theoretical and methodological principles for supply formation in the grape market by agricultural enterprises of Ukraine, and its peculiarities were determined. The main factors of supply formation were analysed and regularities between them were determined. Dependence between supply formation and economic results of the wine-growing enterprises’ activity was established. The main directions of grape supply formation in Ukraine were offered. Prospects for import substitution in the grape market were defined. Calculations on investment support for the grape production development were carried out. Elements of scientific novelty. Theoretical positions concerning a definition of basic conditions and directions of the grape development in Ukraine were justified, and their validity and orientation were substantiated. Results of their provision and implementation in practice of grape producers were determined. Volume of necessary investments for effective development of grape production was substantiated. Practical significance. Considered theoretical and methodological provisions constitute a methodological basis for ensuring a stable supply formation in the grape market by agricultural enterprises and their efficient activity.
