Modern trade barriers on the European meat products market
The purpose of the article is to systematize the classification and group the existing trade barriers, based on analysis of the current practice of trade relations between Ukraine and EU. Research methods. In the research process the following scientific methods have been used: analysis and synthesis for analysis of provisions in the WTO agreements and identification of classification marks and trade barriers grouping; comparison for description of processes of trade barriers and their comparative characteristic; systematization for formation of sequence of stages for overcoming the barriers of meat producers' entrance into the European market; tabular for construction of tables. Research results. The three-level system of trade barriers in EU has been investigated. Set of classification features and corresponding types of trade barriers have been presented. Essence of each type of trade barrier for entrance in EU meat products market has been described. It has been described a set of tariff and nontariff barriers of EU countries, which serves as a basis for developing a strategy for entrance of national enterprises into the relevant market. Elements of scientific novelty. It has been developed theoretical approaches to realization of trade relations for distinguishing classification signs of trade barriers and their use in purpose of grouping trade barriers according to a principle of compliance to a chosen feature. Practical significance. On basis of generalization of the main provisions of the WTO agreements, main trade restrictions, which are not prohibited by collective agreements, have been systematized, but thier use must be applied for protection human health, animal life, and environment. Generalization and systematization of trade barriers allows us to formulate a strategy of entering to the external market in accordance with the existing trade barriers of this market. Tabl.: 7.
